We believe
that most adults have responsibility and accountability for their own actions
and decisions.
We believe
that a counselor’s responsibility is to help clients clarify, assess,
explore, and establish goals for growth and change.
We believe
in and adhere to the Code of Ethics of the American Counseling Association.
Fees
The Alpha
Center exists to provide comfort and healing at an affordable fee for each
client. Rates are established for
individual counselors who will discuss fees with their clients.
Other
Information
Clients who
do not specify a therapist are assigned to the first available counselor who
specializes in that client ’s relevant problem area.
For clients
who need special services outside the expertise of Alpha Center counselors, the
Alpha Center refers to Shoals area professionals. Counselors will also assist in locating
appropriate professionals for clients who live outside the Shoals area and need
specialized services.

Center counselors are available as speakers for community, church, and civic
groups on a variety of counseling topics.
